Privacy Policy
What Coach.AI needs to build your training, what stays private, and the controls you have.
Last updated: 12 September 2026
Coach.AI does not profile you, and sells nothing. The app shows no advertising and contains no analytics SDK. On Android only, it reports a short list of events — app opened, account created, trial started, subscription paid — to Meta, so we can tell which advertising actually brings people in. That report carries your device's advertising ID, which you can reset or switch off in Android settings at any time. The iOS app contains no such component at all. We never sell your data or share it with data brokers. This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from third-party servers.
This policy explains what Coach.AI (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, and what you can do about it. It applies to the Coach.AI mobile app on iOS and Android and to this website.
1. Who we are
Coach.AI is developed and operated by FOP Serhii Hrynishyn (individual entrepreneur, Ukraine), registered at 09117, Kyivska region, Bila Tserkva, Shevchenka St., bldg. 93. For any privacy question, data request or complaint, write to serjgrey.3d@gmail.com. We answer every message ourselves — there is no ticketing system in between.
2. What we collect
Account
- Name and e-mail address, taken from the sign-in method you choose (e-mail and password, Google, or Apple).
- An internal account identifier.
Training profile
- Gender, age, height and weight.
- Training experience, goal, available equipment, training location and how many days a week you want to train.
- Injuries and limitations — free text you write yourself, so the plan can avoid unsafe exercises.
Training activity
- Generated programs, workouts, exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, rest and effort ratings, personal records and exercise notes.
- Pre-workout check-in: how you rate your sleep, nutrition and wellbeing on a 1–5 scale.
- Optional body measurements and optional progress photos.
Technical
- Subscription status and purchase history for the Premium subscription.
- A push-notification token for your device, if you enable reminders.
- Basic device and diagnostic information needed to deliver and secure the service.
- Android only: your device's advertising ID, and the fact that a short list of events happened — the app was installed and opened, an account was created, a trial started, a subscription was paid. Section 6 explains why, and how to switch it off.
- How much of the .AI coach you use — the number of requests and their size — so the daily fair-use limits can be enforced and the cost of running the coach kept sustainable. This is a count on our server; it contains none of what you wrote or what the coach replied.
We do not collect your location, your contacts or your phone number. The only advertising identifier we use is the Android one described above; the iOS app uses none.
3. Why we use it
- To build and adjust your plan. Your profile and your logged training are what the next week is built from.
- To run the app’s features — your history, progress, personal records and coach insights.
- To keep you safe in training — injuries and limitations are used to exclude exercises.
- To manage your subscription and the number of AI generations available to you.
- To send reminders you have asked for.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse of the AI features.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for marketing, or automated decisions with legal effects.
4. Who processes your data
Three service providers process data on our behalf. There are no others.
| Provider | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase) | Everything stored in your account: profile, training history, measurements, photos, notification token | Database, file storage, sign-in, push notifications, abuse protection |
| OpenAI | Gender, age, height, weight, goal, experience, equipment, your injuries and limitations text, a summary of your recent training, an averaged readiness percentage, and — only when you enter them yourself — last night's hours of sleep and today's mood — sent through our own server, never directly from your phone | Generating and adjusting your program, and answering you in the in-app coach chat |
| RevenueCat | An account identifier and your subscription status | Managing the Premium subscription across app stores |
| Meta (Android only) | Your device's advertising ID, an anonymous app identifier, and the fact that one of a short list of events happened — installed and opened, account created, trial started, subscription paid or renewed — with the amount paid. No name, no e-mail, no training data, nothing from the health section below | Measuring which advertising actually brings people to the app |
What never leaves our systems: your name, your e-mail address, your progress photos, and your body measurements. None of these are sent to the AI provider or to anyone else.
We may also disclose data if we are legally required to, or to protect our rights or the safety of users — never for commercial reasons.
5. Health data
Some of what you enter is health data, and we treat it accordingly:
- Injuries and limitations, an averaged readiness figure derived from your check-ins, and the hours of sleep and the mood you enter yourself in Your Room are sent to the AI provider, because they are exactly what shapes a safe plan for today. The AI never receives your name or contact details.
- The App does not read from Health Connect or Apple Health. It holds no health permission on either platform, and every number on the recovery and check-in screens is one you entered yourself.
6. Tracking, cookies and advertising
The App shows no advertising and contains no analytics SDK. It does measure advertising on one platform, and we would rather say so plainly than bury it.
On Android, the App includes Meta's measurement SDK. It reports that a short list of events happened — the app was installed and opened, an account was created, a free trial started, a subscription was paid or renewed — together with your device's advertising ID and the amount paid. Meta uses this to tell us which of our adverts brought someone to the app. The events about payments are sent from our own server, through RevenueCat, rather than from your phone, because renewals happen while the app is closed.
What is not sent: your name, your e-mail address, your training history, your body measurements, your photos, your injuries — nothing from the health section above.
You can switch this off. Android Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you delete or reset your advertising ID, or turn it off altogether; with it off, Meta receives no usable identifier for you. Nothing in the App stops working if you do.
On iOS the App contains no advertising or measurement component of any kind. Nothing is reported to Meta or to anyone else, and so the App does not ask for permission under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework — there is nothing to track you with.
We do not link data collected in the App with data from third parties for advertising purposes, and we do not share data with data brokers.
This website is plain static HTML. It sets no cookies, runs no scripts, loads no fonts, scripts or images from third-party servers, and contains no embedded content.
7. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Performance of a contract — your account, your plan, your training history, your subscription.
- Consent — health data you choose to provide (injuries, check-ins, sleep and mood), progress photos, and push notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time by removing the data, revoking the permission, or deleting your account.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure and preventing abuse of the AI features.
8. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Two ways to act:
- In the App — Settings lets you edit your profile, delete individual records, and delete your account entirely.
- By e-mail — write to serjgrey.3d@gmail.com and we will act on your request within 30 days.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes your profile, training history, measurements and photos from our live systems; residual copies in service backups are overwritten within 30 days. Records we are legally required to keep — purchase records, for example — are retained by the app stores under their own policies.
10. International transfers
Coach.AI is available worldwide and your data is processed on Google Cloud infrastructure and by the providers listed above, which may be located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Children
Coach.AI is a strength-training app intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Security
All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit. Access to your account requires authentication, requests are validated with Firebase App Check, and our AI provider key is held in a secrets manager on the server — the App never holds it. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not keep data we do not need.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version appears on this page with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will also be announced inside the App.
